City of Gainesville issued the following announcement on March 16
Closings:
- Beginning 3/17/2020 the Frank Buck Zoo will be closed per CDC’s 15 day plan to Slow the Spread of COVID-19. Rest assured, as always, our animal family will be taken care of by our dedicated Animal Care team. We will continue to post daily Keeper Chat content on Facebook. - The remaining Citizen Police Academy #120 classes have been postponed until further notice.
- The City of Gainesville Parks and Recreation Department will be postponing ALL social and recreational events and programs per CDC’s 15 day plan to Slow the Spread of Covid-19 starting 3/17/2020.
- Spring Adult Athletic Leagues: Softball, Basketball and Volleyball
- Frankie Schmitz Express Train postponed until 4/01/2020
