Wondering if delivered packages can transmit coronavirus? A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that SARS-CoV-2 - the virus that causes COVID-19 - can live on surfaces up to 72 hours. To be on the safe side, here are some tips for handling delivery packages safely:
1) Open and leave the cardboard box outside.
2) Wash your hands for 20 seconds after handling the package.
3) If the purchased item can be sanitized or washed, attempt to do so before use.
