The Abilene Animal Shelter’s new hours of operation effective 7/6/20:

This change in hours and operations from Wednesday to Saturday will allow Shelter staff to reallocate resources and be available to the public on Saturdays, what is typically the busiest adoption day of the week. Shelter management looks forward to reopening the facility to animal adoption on Wednesdays as soon as staffing and resources allow.

Residents may continue to call Animal Control at (325) 698-0085 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. For animal-related needs after hours, call APD dispatch non-emergency number at 325.673.8331. Call 911 for emergency or life-threatening needs.
