On Friday, Feb. 14, former Hawley High School standout Tate Thompson’s current college team, the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals, won 13-12 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Oklahoma Christian Eagles.

The game took place at Hays Field and City Bank Clubhouse. This was their first matchup against the Eagles this season.

The Chaparrals’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. at Hays Field and City Bank Clubhouse against Oklahoma Christian Eagles.
