11 schools across Callahan County welcome 2,495 students in 2020-2021 school year

Test 13

Callahan County enrolled 2,495 students in the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is 29 fewer than the year before.

Callahan County was ranked 143rd in enrollment among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
