There were 84 Hispanic students enrolled in Eula ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 10.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Eula ISD schools welcomed 464 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 18.1% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Eula ISD roughly covers schools within Callahan County and has a main office in Clyde.

Among the three schools in Eula ISD schools, Eula Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 47 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
