There were 10 African American students enrolled in Albany ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 23.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Albany ISD schools welcomed 510 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Albany ISD roughly covers schools within Shackelford County and has a main office in Albany.

Among the two schools in Albany ISD schools, Albany Junior-Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of eight students.
