Roscoe Collegiate ISD welcomed 6,191 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 6,191 students enrolled in Roscoe Collegiate ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 100.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.7% of them were girls, and 49.3% were boys.

The most represented ethnicity among Roscoe Collegiate ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 45.9% of the student population.

Roscoe Collegiate ISD roughly covers schools within Nolan County with its main office in Roscoe.

Among the four schools in Roscoe Collegiate ISD, Lone Star Online Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 5,581 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
